Interpretation of GB/T 32496-2016 Test Method for Volume Fraction of Reinforcement in Metal Matrix Composites-Image Analysis Method

  • GB/T 32496-2016 Test Method for Volume Fraction of Reinforcement in Metal Matrix Composites-Image Analysis Method, as a basic standard, applies to the metal matrix composites reinforced with particles (>1 μm) or the continuous single direction fibers (>1 μm). A brief introduction to the background and standardization progress of GB/T 32496-2016 was made, and the key contents of the new standard, such as application scope, method principle, testing material and apparatus, sample, testing procedure and so on, were interpreted, in order to provide the technical support for readers to make a better understanding of the new standard.
